__________________________________________________________________________________

And so it's another new month in the calendar,
which marks the end of the year isn't that far.

As it starts snowing in Canada and the rain starts to drop on Ardul Kinanah,
the month of December begins to whirl,
bringing back all the cherished memories that was once shared,
where me and my loved ones were brought into this world.

December 2nd   - Areef a.k.a abang's birthday (dh besar dh budak ni =)
December 3rd  - makcik dia punye birthday

haaa, see? Ramaii kann? Happy belated and becoming birthday sweethearts!
note how kami adik beradik were born selang sepuluh hari *despite the difference in years of course.

Abe yeo and his little girl, Mardhiyyah :)
Mardhiyyah dah bsr sikit..alahai :)
within a year, a newborn is now a toddler who is able to stand on her own two feet.
within a year, a boy is now a young man who is able to carry out responsibilities placed upon him.
within a year, a man is now ready to be called a husband.
within a year, a married couple welcomes their little bundle of joy.
within a year, a family mourns over their loved one's death.

this is life. and it goes on.
we are all in this ride,
reaching the final destination,
and it waits for no one the time and tide.

we are,
closer to responsibilities.
closer to becoming old.
closer to death.
closer to God.

Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah

"Indeed, there are signs in the heavens and earth for believers,
and in your creation,
and in the crawling things that He has scattered far and near,
there are signs for a nation whose belief is certain"
(QS: 45:3-4)

to family & friends;

Thanks for the birthday wishes.
May Allah bless us all!

Being away from home at times like this makes me miss home even more.

Adieu

Having to part with my loved ones-again, makes me wonder;

"Where is the good in goodbye?"

Saying 'goodbye' was never easy.
cepatnya 70 hari berlalu... (T.T)
memandangkan akan bermusafir kejap lg, nk share lah cket dgn korang doa sebagai orang bermusafir. semoga bermanfaat buat semua =)

Maksudnya : “Dalam penjagaan Allah, dan perhatianNya, muga Allah memberikan kepadamu ketaqwaan dan diampuni dosa-dosamu , dan muga Allah menunjukkan kepadamu arah kebaikan dimana sahaja engkau berada.

Petua beramal

( Riwayat Ibnus Sunni dalam Amal al-Yaum wa al-Lailah no 502, al-Khara`itiy dalam Makarim al-Akhlak no 762 )

ceeyhh, mentang2lah nak balik mesir kan, mestilah letak gmbr unta. hehe
doakan agar kami selamat sampai ya., x sabar pulak nak masuk thn 2, nak start belajar balik!!

Another incomplete raya

I'm doing what every other blogger does; uploading a family portrait on hari raya. So here it is.
The difference is that this year the picture was taken on 4th Syawal at Kelantan Trade Centre during my cousin's wedding reception.

Yes, it may seem like 1 big family, but 1 family member is still missing, for 3 rayas already.
*god how I miss her >,<'
And how do I feel after celebrating raya for the 19th time?
I feel all grown up.

Not that I'm complaining about NOt getting DUIT RAYA anymore from the relatives, or the fact that my sister and I literally cooked by ourselves for raya, or another unbelievable fact that I only wore my 'daily jubah' on 1st Syawal (which means I had no new baju raya). THAT made me feel all grown up.

Well, experiencing these things marks that I am now in a new phase of life.
I am no longer that little girl in new baju raya, collecting duit raya from almost everyone nor I am the girl sitting on the couch waiting to be approached when everyone comes visiting.

Ainul Mardhiyyah a.k.a tweety, 1st niece =)
Instead, I now had to be the one who was on the alert for guests, giving away duit raya (on behalf of mama n papa of course, hehe), and entertaining the guests.
It was not easy I must say. I wondered how mama did every single thing all by herself when we were little. She baked biscuits, beautified the house, cooked nasi ayam/nasi air, prepared barley drinks, entertained the guests, attended to her children, washed up the crockery; everything for the annual 'open house day' which went on for decades.

My mama must be a supermak. Every mom is! =)

best jgk citer ni~ hee

I guess it's not too late to wish everyone;

Happy Eidul Fitri
May you and your loved ones be favoured with
His blessings and good providence this raya season.

SALAM MERDEKA RAYA

Alhamdulillah, Eid 1432H was just as awesome cause I got to celebrate it with my family, though it could have been better if tak atih is around. *sigh*
oh if you're celebrating raya overseas away from your loved ones, don't worry, you don't miss out that much. (pandai2 je pdhal kalau empunya bdn terpaksa beraya kat mesir confirm tangkap nanges 7 hari 7 malam =.=)

alamak tinggal 2 minggu je lagi kat malaysia. homaigok~! O__O

Hampir ke situ

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

Pejam celik pejam celik dah nak masuk hari ke-23 kita berpuasa kan?

Apakah perasaan anda sekarang? Gembira sebab minggu depan dah nak raya? Atau sedih sebab minggu depan Ramadhan dah nak pergi?
..........................................................................................................................................

wallahu'alam.

hello kay bee!

As time flies by...you gradually realize
your Superman is no longer as strong
&
your Wonderwoman is just as weak.

Now it's your time to put on that superhero suit
&
rescue them.

It's okay now, Fatin's here! ^___^

Alhamdulillah, it's great to be home again =)

June 21st, 1992

This entry is dedicated to Nadirah Mohamad Nasriff, who just turned 19.

Remember my Pooh Bear-cap ayey-erasers?
Remember how you imitated Pooh poses?
Remember how we laughed so hard to all of those?
Remember how that made the gap between us close?

I still remember during my school days,
From I was seven till I was seventeen,
I got too used to seeing you everyday,
Now that I don't anymore, I wonder how you've been.

"You make me laugh when I don't even want to smile",
is what you do to me all this while.

You're the only friend who I grow up with like literally,
and the one who I wish to grow old with like seriously.
*Insya Allah*

(hari khamis exam pulak kan? fighting3! you can do it~!! ^____^)

Life is about trials and tests,
each time we must give our best,
have faith in Allah & be fearless,
for  He will do the rest.

To the girl who loves stars and everything blue,
I just want to say

SANAH HELWA YA HABIBTI!
kullu sanah wa enti toyyibah insya Allah

My sweet tooth

Ehem3 *clears throat*
Dear Nur Aimuni,
'bukak mata.......

SELAMAT HARI JADI~! ^____^'

(you know what to say next =p)

ingat lagi tak, it's the same birthday wish i posted on your facebook wall 2 years ago, and i bet this year, iklan ni masih lagi dimainkan di corong radio Kelantan f.m, beberapa minit sebelum azan maghrib berkumandang menandakan waktu berbuka puasa..hehe.

you see, some things never change,
just like my love for you, it will remain the same.

love her doodles!
Looking through our pictures together are quite tiresome,
For they are more than 100 + 2,
but my life in SMKANL wouldn't be as awesome,
if Allah hadn't sent me you.

The moment you walked out of the airplane,
My heart was in pain,
It was as if I had lost my sugarcane,
but we still keep in touch & the sweetness remains.
*Alhamdulillah*

White and green are your favourite colours,
Taylor Swift is your favourite singer,
Thanks for being my partner all these years,
You better make sure our friendship lasts forever~ =P

Good luck 'dentist to be',
May ALLAH ease your journey.

Pssst...want to hear the truth?,
You'll always be my sweet tooth!

What would Spongebob be without Patrick? (n_n)

Lucky taste!

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim~

Alhamdulillah, the end of anatomy practical examination on may 22nd marked the end of our practical examinations.

"it was not as difficult as i imagined, but was not as easy as i hoped it would be~"
well i have to agree on that, aina~ (i know ure going to read this =P)

ade sebelas stesen semua skali-upper limb, thorax, lower limb. serius time Dr. Tarek sebut "MOVE!" bila dh habes mase 2 minit, jantung ni mcm nk jatuh je. bukan sebab Dr.Tarek yg hensem tu okei dah kantoi, tapi sebab dub dab dub dab curious nk tahu ape yg kena identify utk next station. muscle ke, nerve ke artery ke?

mediastinum mcm ni pun ade haritu~

tapi syukur sgt2, semua dh lepas. we tried our best, let Allah do the rest~! thanks mama & papa, and yes i'm doing fine, no fever, no flu whatsoever, no worries =)

after 2 days of khan el-khalili-souvenirs hunting, today we went to Ibn Hamido Sea Food Restaurant at Sayyeda Zeinab to treat our tummies with sea food yummies!

this was my 1st visit to this place.
thanks to sufia, aina, bella & zapy for the 'sea food crave' =P
1st impression; nice place with nice price...sea food kan~ $__$
we ordered fried calamari, grilled shrimps, ibn hamido's soup, fried bory fish? kot~

fried calamari

grilled shrimps

ibn hamido's soup
(haihh bila la blh masak ting-tang-ting-tang-alexander cam ni =.=')

al-kisahnya;
as our dishes were served, 2 arabs dined in next to us. one of them was an Arab at his mid 40's, wearing a G Unit cap & tinted shades, smoking cigar- a glance on his lavish appearance was enough to tell he was filthy rich. he had a serious looking face that resembled a famous Middle East politician. his company was several years younger than him with the same demeanor, but rather he acted protective over the the 1st one with high respect.

We noticed they were peeping over us, making us feel slightly uncomfortable.
gradually, the rich man broke the ice by saying,"Are you Malaysians?"

"Yes,"we replied with smiles on our faces. proud malaysians la katakan =D

"What do you study?"

"Medicine."

contented, he said, "I would like to invite you for lunch..."(okey x ingt sgt dialog)

we looked at each other in puzzlement.

"Don't be afraid. you are like my sisters. i just want to pay for your lunch. is it okay? don't be shy, just order anything you want."

was he for real?

"oh it's okay. we're good. thank you, thank you." we nodded in awe.

he then called upon a waiter who later approached us asking whether we wanted to add on more dishes. we refused courteously.

frankly speaking who wouldn't want to tuck into FREE sea food? you could eat anything you wanted; crabs, eels, shrimps, bolty fish, calamari, bory fish, you name it. like he said, just choose and order.

BUT my friends were right. i couldn't simply place my trust on some stranger. plus, he didn't present himself as someone who was approachable. he was likely to set this off this intriguing aura with that look of his. could it be that he really was that famous politician? O_o naahhh, his nose was more pointed i think~

after we finished dining, we checked out our bill but the waiter confirmed that our lunch was on the rich generous man. whoaaa, serius sama mcm dlm movie2 tu!

and so we verged upon him to express our gratitude. he was kind after all! he even offered if we needed any help. we learned that he was from Qatar, no wonder he is loaded~ memang langkah kanan r dpt mkn free kat Ibn Hamido! *grins*

moral of the story:
Don't judge a book by its cover. HUSNU ZHAN.
Thanks again Mr.you-know-who-you-are! Kattar kheirak~ insya Allah, you will be blessed! ^___^

Rasul Allah (pbuh) said; "A generous person draws near to God, gets closer to paradise, and becomes distant from hell. In contrast, a miser is far removed from God and paradise and falls headlong into Hell. God loves a generous person, who may not be very well versed in religious knowledge, more than a miser who is engaged in acts of worship." [Tirmidhi]

now only 20 days are left until the finals; written & oral exam. masa untuk pulun!

but most of the time i end up like this,

or even better;
maksudnya x study langsung =.='
wallahua'lam.

Straw to my berry.

This entry is specially dedicated to Pn. Nik Fatimah binti Nik Ismail.

There is this one special person,
who loves me without any reason.

She is the straw to my berry,
the Mother who I love so dearly.

It's definitely not an easy task,
but you nailed to raise us seven,
so there's nothing more I can ask,
for you are a blessing sent from heaven!

Carrying me,
I know you suffered a lot,
and how you raised me up so patiently,
is something I will ever forget not.

As I am here in Egypt writing this,
it is you in Malaysia who I miss.

I'm sorry for being far away,
I'm sorry for not being able to be your sunshine
when the skies were grey,
I'm sorry for the bad days
when I didn't listen to what you say,
I'm sorry if I ever hurt you in any possible way.

To list up everything you've done,
is totally infeasible,
but i'll jot down one by one,
as far as I am capable.

I thank Allah for all the times,
when I'm in need,
you are always there,
and all my pain will be healed.

I thank Allah for all you showed me,
about life and its lessons,
about love and its gifts,
about Allah and His Magnificence.

Mostly I thank Allah for sending me you,
plus Papa too! (^___^)

Please read this so you can see,
that you are the woman I want to be,
Dear Mama,
you mean the world to me!

I love it when it's May,
because I get the chance to say;

"Happy Mother's day
&
Happy Birthday, Mama"
By Fatin Nabila

Rasul Allah (pbuh) said: “A dutiful loving son who looks at his parents with love and kindness will earn a reward equal to performing the Hajj ( Pilgrimage) for each loving glance of his. Even if he casts such a glance one hundred times a day,he would be credited with the same reward each time. Almighty God's treasure is never diminished by such generous and lavish rewards.” [Bayhaqi] ♥

it has been 2 months, and only 2 months are left
until we see each other again...insya Allah

Stay the same

My all time favourite song from Joey Mcintyre.
No there's nothing about the lyrics I would change =)

"Stay The Same"

[Chorus]
Don't you ever wish you were someone else,
You were meant to be the way you are exactly.
Don't you ever say you don't like the way you are.
When you learn to love yourself, you're better off by far.
And I hope you always stay the same,
cuz there's nothin' 'bout you I would change.

[Verse]
I think that you could be whatever you wanted to be
If you could realize, all the dreams you have inside.
Don't be afraid if you've got something to say,
Just open up your heart and let it show you the way.

[Chorus]

[Bridge]
Believe in yourself.
Reach down inside.
The love you find will set you free.
Believe in yourself, you will come alive.
Have faith in what you do.
You'll make it through.

[Chorus]

they say eating cookies with milk will make you feel good, but i didn't feel any better.
haih lei gong mei ah? >.<'

The Necklace

The article below could not have showed up in my browser at a more perfect time.
This is something I am currently struggling with at the moment.....

The cheerful little girl with bouncy golden curls was almost five. Waiting with her mother at the checkout stand, she saw them, a circle of glistening white pearls in a pink foil box.
“Oh mommy please, Mommy. Can I have them? Please, Mommy, please?”

Quickly the mother checked the back of the little foil box and then looked back into the pleading blue eyes of her little girl’s upturned face.
“A dollar ninety-five. That’s almost $2.00. If you really want them, I’ll think of some extra chores for you and in no time you can save enough money to buy them for yourself. Your birthday’s only a week away and you might get another crisp dollar bill from Grandma.”
As soon as Jenny got home, she emptied her penny bank and counted out 17 pennies. After dinner, she did more than her share of chores and she went to the neighbor and asked Mrs. McJames if she could pick dandelions for ten cents. On her birthday,Grandma did give her another new dollar bill and at last she had enough money to buy the necklace.
Jenny loved her pearls. They made her feel dressed up and grown up. She wore them everywhere, Sunday school, kindergarten, even to bed. The only time she took them off was when she went swimming or had a bubble bath. Mother said if they got wet, they might turn her neck green.
Jenny had a very loving daddy and every night when she was ready for bed, he would stop whatever he was doing and come upstairs to read her a story. One night as he finished the story, he asked Jenny, “Do you love me?”
“Oh yes, daddy. You know that I love you.”
“Then give me your pearls.”
“Oh, daddy, not my pearls. But you can have Princess, the white horse from my collection, the one with the pink tail. Remember, daddy? The one you gave me. She’s my very favorite.”
“That’s okay, Honey, daddy loves you. Good night.” And he brushed her cheek with a kiss.
About a week later, after the story time, Jenny’s daddy asked again, “Do you love me?”
“Daddy, you know I love you.”
“Then give me your pearls.”
“Oh Daddy, not my pearls. But you can have my baby doll. The brand new one I got for my birthday. She is beautiful and you can have the yellow blanket that matches her sleeper.”
“That’s okay. Sleep well. God bless you, little one. Daddy loves you.”
And as always, he brushed her cheek with a gentle kiss.
A few nights later when her daddy came in, Jenny was sitting on her bed with her legs crossed Indian style.
As he came close, he noticed her chin was trembling and one silent tear rolled down her cheek. “What is it, Jenny? What’s the matter?”
Jenny didn’t say anything but lifted her little hand up to her daddy. And when she opened it, there was her little pearl necklace. With a little quiver, she finally said, “Here, daddy; this is for you.”
With tears gathering in his own eyes, Jenny’s daddy reached out with one hand to take the dime store necklace, and with the other hand he reached into his pocket and pulled out a blue velvet case with a strand of genuine pearls and gave them to Jenny.
He had them all the time… He was just waiting for her to give up the dime-store stuff so he could give her the genuine treasure.
So it is, with Allah. He is waiting for us to give up the cheap things in our lives so that he can give us beautiful treasures.
Are you holding onto things that He wants you to let go of?

Are you holding on to harmful or unnecessary partners, relationships, habits and activities that you have come so attached to that it seems impossible to let go? Sometimes it is so hard to see what is in the other hand but do believe this one thing.

Allah will never take away something without giving you
something better in its place.

Sunshine, anyone?

You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.

How ironic, i love the song but these couple of days i wished someone would take the sunshine away. =.='
and it was only due to the temperature rising up to almost 40 degree Celsius during the day, on 18th oct to be precise .. no i'm not complaining. who says i'm complaining? i only mention the temperature that's all. and everybody does the same, posting about the 'hotness' on fb. it's hot. egypt's hot whatt..40 degree je pun, something you don't get in malaysia. still you think i'm complaining right now? no lahhh (okay stop it i am >.<)
