Stay the same

My all time favourite song from Joey Mcintyre.
No there's nothing about the lyrics I would change =)

"Stay The Same"

[Chorus]
Don't you ever wish you were someone else,
You were meant to be the way you are exactly.
Don't you ever say you don't like the way you are.
When you learn to love yourself, you're better off by far.
And I hope you always stay the same,
cuz there's nothin' 'bout you I would change.

[Verse]
I think that you could be whatever you wanted to be
If you could realize, all the dreams you have inside.
Don't be afraid if you've got something to say,
Just open up your heart and let it show you the way.

[Chorus]

[Bridge]
Believe in yourself.
Reach down inside.
The love you find will set you free.
Believe in yourself, you will come alive.
Have faith in what you do.
You'll make it through.

[Chorus]

they say eating cookies with milk will make you feel good, but i didn't feel any better.
haih lei gong mei ah? >.<'

The Necklace

The article below could not have showed up in my browser at a more perfect time.
This is something I am currently struggling with at the moment.....

The cheerful little girl with bouncy golden curls was almost five. Waiting with her mother at the checkout stand, she saw them, a circle of glistening white pearls in a pink foil box.
“Oh mommy please, Mommy. Can I have them? Please, Mommy, please?”

Quickly the mother checked the back of the little foil box and then looked back into the pleading blue eyes of her little girl’s upturned face.
“A dollar ninety-five. That’s almost $2.00. If you really want them, I’ll think of some extra chores for you and in no time you can save enough money to buy them for yourself. Your birthday’s only a week away and you might get another crisp dollar bill from Grandma.”
As soon as Jenny got home, she emptied her penny bank and counted out 17 pennies. After dinner, she did more than her share of chores and she went to the neighbor and asked Mrs. McJames if she could pick dandelions for ten cents. On her birthday,Grandma did give her another new dollar bill and at last she had enough money to buy the necklace.
Jenny loved her pearls. They made her feel dressed up and grown up. She wore them everywhere, Sunday school, kindergarten, even to bed. The only time she took them off was when she went swimming or had a bubble bath. Mother said if they got wet, they might turn her neck green.
Jenny had a very loving daddy and every night when she was ready for bed, he would stop whatever he was doing and come upstairs to read her a story. One night as he finished the story, he asked Jenny, “Do you love me?”
“Oh yes, daddy. You know that I love you.”
“Then give me your pearls.”
“Oh, daddy, not my pearls. But you can have Princess, the white horse from my collection, the one with the pink tail. Remember, daddy? The one you gave me. She’s my very favorite.”
“That’s okay, Honey, daddy loves you. Good night.” And he brushed her cheek with a kiss.
About a week later, after the story time, Jenny’s daddy asked again, “Do you love me?”
“Daddy, you know I love you.”
“Then give me your pearls.”
“Oh Daddy, not my pearls. But you can have my baby doll. The brand new one I got for my birthday. She is beautiful and you can have the yellow blanket that matches her sleeper.”
“That’s okay. Sleep well. God bless you, little one. Daddy loves you.”
And as always, he brushed her cheek with a gentle kiss.
A few nights later when her daddy came in, Jenny was sitting on her bed with her legs crossed Indian style.
As he came close, he noticed her chin was trembling and one silent tear rolled down her cheek. “What is it, Jenny? What’s the matter?”
Jenny didn’t say anything but lifted her little hand up to her daddy. And when she opened it, there was her little pearl necklace. With a little quiver, she finally said, “Here, daddy; this is for you.”
With tears gathering in his own eyes, Jenny’s daddy reached out with one hand to take the dime store necklace, and with the other hand he reached into his pocket and pulled out a blue velvet case with a strand of genuine pearls and gave them to Jenny.
He had them all the time… He was just waiting for her to give up the dime-store stuff so he could give her the genuine treasure.
So it is, with Allah. He is waiting for us to give up the cheap things in our lives so that he can give us beautiful treasures.
Are you holding onto things that He wants you to let go of?

Are you holding on to harmful or unnecessary partners, relationships, habits and activities that you have come so attached to that it seems impossible to let go? Sometimes it is so hard to see what is in the other hand but do believe this one thing.

Allah will never take away something without giving you
something better in its place.

Reality check

"Tuan-tuan & puan-puan serta adik-adik sekalian, kita sudah mendarat di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kaherah. Waktu tempatan ialah 1230 tengah hari. Suhu di luar ialah 15 darjah celcius. Terima kasih kerana memilih Malaysia Airlines, semoga kita berjumpa lagi. Saya, kapten bersama-sama anak-anak kapal mengucapkan selamat kembali ke Mesir dan menyambung pelajaran. Salam 1 Malaysia"

that wasn't the exact announcement that was made, was it? *aigo0o, lupe pulak..ma'alisy kalau silap*
as i stepped into the building and queued up for the immigration counter, my eyes caught some figures that were not seen for about a month; the arabs. "jupo pulok dh tok arab," i said to piya with a sarcastic tone.

hueh, do not blame me. who would have thought the winter break in malaysia has officially ended and now here i am on my bed publishing this post, this time from egypt-again?

pardon me,
but being home for 1 month felt as if it was a dream...(ayat bdk tahun 1..teehee)
at that time, the song that was playing inside my mind was this, which was on repeat since i boarded MH 8186, the same charter airplane that brought me to egypt on september 18th.

dedicated to mama & papa; this long distance is killing me.

9th march 1245pm. it was the time to face reality.

as the name applies, reality isn't always rainbows and butterflies. your mission is yet to be accomplished, your journey is still a far cry away and it has become your responsibility to make your dream a reality. chill fatin, make it sweet will you?
jazakallah, be grateful that now you've reached your second home safely. :)

concerning the current situation in egypt, from what i see - note that I do not always go outside and see what's up to get the juicy details, egypt's fine. however, do click here & here. that should be enough to tell you what's still going on around cairo.

1)  a demonstration in kasr el aini medical school by the students demanding new administration since the vice dean's brother happens to be one of the minister in Mubarak's regime and apparently, they also demand 'kesamarataan hak' dengan pelajar Melayu.

2)  christian-muslim clashes in cairo kill 13.

3) bilik yang berdebu & berhabuk dah siap dikemas. *wink2

people, that's reality. and the fact that classes will begin on march 12th is also another reality.
like mama said,"jangan mengeluh fatin...you've made your choice, susah payah just embrace it. pengalaman itu kan mematangkan?" imissyousobadly mama.

to papa, happy belated birthday. i'd like to write you a poem but then i realized that words are NOTHING to describe how much you mean to me, how thankful i am to have you as my daddy. may Allah shower you with love, health, and happiness in this world and hereafter. you might not be reading this but still,

the day that you were born was a precious day.
thank you papa for being born.
thank you Allah :)

friends; selamat kembali ke sekolah~! ^_^

لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الإِنسَـنَ فِى أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ
(4. Verily, We created man in the best form.) -Surah At-Tin

This is the subject being sworn about, and it is that Allah created man in the best image and form, standing upright with straight limbs that He beautified. SubhanAllah.
(For further info on the tafsir of Surah At-Tin, clik here)

I've read this somewhere;

"LEARNING THE HIGHEST CREATION OF ALLAH IS OF COURSE NEVER EASY"

Keep holding on.

It's always like this during exam buzz. everybody is busy studying in various ways. some would probably drink coffee in order to burn the midnight's oil, or some would sleep early and later get up to study until fajr, while the rest would be facing their books all day long (not face-booking =p). those are only some of the sympathethic effects acting upon us, with the adrenaline & nor adrenaline rushing in until the moment we hand in our answer sheets. the results? only Allah knows~ we can only prepare ourselves for the best.

But then...

There are times when you strive and make effort, yet, your exam result didn't turn out to be as you hoped and wished. because at the end, the ultimate decision is in Allah’s hands...  nevertheless, do bear in mind that what Allah counts is the effort that you make.  Never lose hope~

Allah answers your prayers in 3 ways:
1) He says 'YES' and gives you what you want;
2) He says 'NO' and gives you something better;
3) He says 'WAIT' and gives you the best in his own time :)

Physiology, bichemistry, anatomy, histology.
4 papers and the winterbreak will later play its part as sympatholytic drug..ho yeah! =D
