Okayy, so this is what it feels like to blog. Well if it wasn't for my sis & my ili who urged me to start doing this, i wouldn't give it a shot in the first place. Syukran jazilan! :) Hmmm, this sudden 'YES TO BLOG' was owing to an unexpected event that had occurred earlier this day, during lunch hour, and i was moved by it....on the spur of that moment, i was stimulated to at least jot something down about things happening around me & perhaps my scribbles could somehow, in a way, be beneficial & inspire others~ (ececeyh) Serius rindu nk karang esei bi panjang2! =.='
This is how the story goes...
1120am @ Faculty park
Me, Jajie, Piya & Zhapy were tucking into our 'gambari kibir' (shrimp sandwich-big...lazizan giddan!) on the bench while having the usual chucklesome conversation. Piya with her funny remarks about stuff, zhapy with her antics and jajie with her ridiculousness; they never failed to make my day :) It's pretty common to have the 'ammu' & 'tont' (pakcik2 & makcik2) around selling tissues, an alternative to life survival. At first, a 'tont' approached us...we bought her tissues..err,technically,my girls did. I didn't because i didn't have any 1LE~ isk3...later, an 'ammu' at his fifties came with the same approach. We declined. Upon seeing the shake of our heads, drops of tears fell down his face...he stepped aside, again offering tissues to almost everyone he encountered. We watched as he moved further from us, at a distance enough to see other people doing the same thing as we did. IGNORING him. Astaghfirullah, what had we done? I don't know why but i am easily moved whenever i see a man cries..maybe because it's really hard for the XYs to do so?
A wave of sympathy hit the shores of our hearts, directing us to go after him and give sedekah. We handed in 5LE. If you could see the look on his face at that time, masya Allah, an expression of utter gratitude!"Binti garahah yoomil khamis lakin misy...", (My daughter will be operated on thursday but i don't have any....), he said while showing us his pocket. Only sound of coins sliding over each other was heard. He added a few sentences that meant "I can only sell these tissues for the operation." Piya handed him another sum of money, instantly tears rolled down his cheeks. He couldn't hold it in anymore. "Kattar khairku...! Kattar khairku..." (Thank you very much...! Thank you very much...) SubhanAllah...that was really the 1st time i saw a man bursting into tears of gratitude...only Allah knew how thankful he was at that time~

He set us an example of a father who would go through anything for his family; even to the extent of selling tissues to pay for his daughter's operation. Do you realise how much your father loves you? Yes, THAT MUCH. A father rarely shows his concern, love and care through words. Know why? Because action indeed speaks louder. Meeting the 'ammu' today was Allah's way of reminding me of a father's responsibility as a leader & a breadwinner to meet his family's needs, and the love that comes with it. If a mother's love is unconditional, a father's love is definitely unqualified....~

| I love you, Papa! <3 |
and ouh, on our way home, we made a quick stop at a nearby pharmacy and weight ourselves up (which we thought was for free).
